Backerkit Survey submitted for approval! And printing has begun!

We have two pieces of VERY good news for you! 

• I've just submitted our Backerkit survey for review and approval. Once it passes through their process (which usually takes about two days), we'll send out a "smoke test," which is test run of the survey that goes out to about 5% of backers. This gives us a chance to find and fix any problems that we missed in setup. Once everything is lined up, we'll be ready to send out the full survey to everyone. The survey is the time to pay for shipping on any physical rewards and also an opportunity to add any extra items you were thinking about during the project but needed to wait for your next payday or just decided you wanted to get after all! It also gives you the chance to specify which VTT system you want for any VTT modules you ordered. If you want more than one, you can add that on as well and let us know. 
• Secondly, through a combination of heroic efforts, lots of preparation, and tireless back and forth with our layout person and our printer staff, we've managed to fast-track printing of Asian Monsters! Not only is it already printing *NOW*, but barring an unforeseen catastrophe we'll be able to get it on the same container ship that's already going to be loading the other books, so they'll all arrive at the same time and we'll be able to get ALL of our fantastic Legendary Monsters books headed out to you at once! 

Every project gets bigger, better, and faster, and it's great to get awesome new books into your hands with ludicrous speed! After a busy day, I think I'll relax with some mood music for our next Kickstarter!

One more try on VTT Token Packs!

Hi all,

It seems like a lot of people didn't get the download for the Sea Monsters VTT Token Pack, and a few of you for the other two.

I've done a mass resend of all three again tonight. Make sure you're logged in at Drivethru and check your account tonight or tomorrow. If it's still not working, let me know and I'll create Dropbox links tomorrow and send those out to the lists of backers for each Token Pack.

Thanks for your patience and hope you are loving all the PDFs and packs you've gotten so far! 

PS - We already sent this out to our backers on our three previous Quickstarters, but we just wanted to share a photo of the three books (6 early bird samples of each sent to us from the printer, which are going out to some lucky backers chosen by lottery). Asian Monsters will be adding to the pile soon!

Hi all, 

In several bits of work over the weekend and this morning, I believe I have now uploaded and send out DrivethruRPG links for all PDF rewards and VTT token packs, including add-ons. All items thus far have been distributed via DrivethruRPG, so make sure you are logged in and that your DrivethruRPG email matches the email you used for Kickstarter. If you use a different email for DrivethruRPG, send it over and I'll resend the links. If you are still not seeing the items, let me know and I can find other avenues. It sounds like it's working for most folks so that's good news! 

This week I'm putting together the Backerkit survey that we'll be sending out, on which you can specify your VTT preference (if you've included that in your pledge), add additional items that you missed the first time or that you were waiting until payday to add, and also we'll collect shipping at that time. It usually takes about two weeks from the end of the KS for the backer survey to be finalized, so we hope to have it ready by NEXT Friday (July 16).

Last but not least, one of the key authors and developers in our recent run of Legendary Monsters bestiaries--and the author of the upcoming Boricubos: The Lost Isles campaign setting (and a primary contributor to Latin American Monsters)--is Miguel Colon. He's been a great addition to the Legendary team over the past year (including work under his old pen name, Michael Ritter) and we have been delighted to work with someone as creative and talented as he is. In addition to his work for LG, he also has been working on his own DnD 5E passion project, Cloudsea. If you've enjoyed the quality in our Quick-starter projects, Miguel has been a big part of that and we invite you to see what he's put together on his very own Kickstarter project, which just launched today! 

Cloudsea is an approximately 60-page setting primer for 5th Edition, which is set in a Roaring 20s type setting, with all the virtues, vices, and problems that entails. There are complex themes explored within this setting, with a 1984-like government in place, and issues of discrimination, fearmongering, and authoritarian propaganda to deal with. The main races in this setting are humans, gnomes, nimbus nymphs, ratfolk, and androids, each with their own distinct place within society, whether that be the upper echelons with all the privileges that entails, to the bottom of society, with the boot of those on top keeping them down.  Cloudsea seeks to explore these types of themes in a respectful manner, and is written by Miguel Colon, a queer-POC who has dealt with issues of bigotry throughout his life and seeks to examine them in the realm of fantasy, perhaps breaking down the idealistic vision of the past we may have had along the way.

Hi all,

A quick note that I've now sent out all pledge-based PDFs for Asian Monsters, Mythos Monsters, Sea Monsters, Road to Destiny, The Baleful Coven, and Under Frozen Stars, as well as the Sea Monsters VTT Token Pack. I've talked with our token pack guy and we should have the Asian Monsters and Mythos Monsters VTT Token Packs finalized this weekend so those will be heading out as soon as they're ready. 

I'll be checking people's add-ons and seeing what else needs sending and I'll be in touch soon as the next waves go out! For now, it's time to celebrate and enjoy a pleasant summer evening while I leave you with one of the friendlier inhabitants of our next monster book! 

Drivethru problems? Try Dropbox!

Some backers have had trouble finding their downloads on DrivethruRPG. Check to make sure you are logged into your Drivethru account (a few people that was their issue; they were logged out so they were showing as an empty cart). If you're logged in and still don't see Asian Monsters in there, you can download it from our private Dropbox at the link I just sent out via Kickstarter messenger to all backers. 

Thanks for your support and we'll check in on other PDFs and see if we need to set up Dropbox downloads for those as well. I'll be out of the house most of the day but will check back this evening!
